Through 10 pm...Numerous moderate to heavy showers and some embedded thunderstorms will continue to affect much of mainland south Florida. The heaviest activity can be expected from fort lauderdale and points south to miami. Wind gusts from 25 to 30 mph...Occasional cloud to surface lightning strikes...And torrential downpours can be expected with this activity. Rainfall rates will generally range from one half to one inch per hour...Although rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible with the heaviest storms. This will LEAD to significant ponding of water on roadways and in other flood prone areas.
